• I am learning Tagalog for the first time and this book was recommended to me by my language teacher. I love that it is easy for anyone to understand and the illustrations help tremendously. My grandma (who is a native Tagalog speaker) also favors this book. Highly recommended.
• I bought this for my son who is studying Tagalog. It has been very helpful and he uses it daily.
• Pretty easy to read along and understand. The only thing it should have more of is more explanation on how to pronounce.
• As with any new language, it takes some time to really get into it. However, this book makes it a lot easier to speak some Tagalog to people you meet. Being caucasian, born and raised in the US, learning some phrases is not so easy, but with time and repeating, it will become more fulfilling. To live in the Philippines, it would make it more easy to learn the language. I try to speak Tagalog with every Filipino I meet. Some are enthusiastic, some are not, but it is fun. Ako si Roger. • If you are serious about learning tagalog. Joi has a tagalog for beginners book for around 14$ I would recommend which has triple the information onto this one, I will complete this one and probably move onto the beginner one. Great job girls writing this book!
• If u want to learn Tagalog, then this is the book for u. Not only u learn how by reading, u learn by listening to the audio CD on how to pronounce the language. U won't be disappointed.
